Advantages of the gastric manga over the gastric bypass

Another relative benefit of gastric sleeve surgery is slower weight loss. Gastric sleeve patients typically see their weight loss plateau after 2 years, while gastric bypass results in much faster weight loss (typically all within the first year).

Why is losing weight slower a benefit? This is very subjective and unproven. Some patients and doctors believe that slower weight loss leads to less sagging of the skin and a reduction in stretch marks. You can also fool your co-workers into thinking that you’ve found the biggest weight loss secret on earth, assuming you haven’t told them about your surgery.
